By using FocusChamps you agree to these terms. They're meant to be short and clear.

What FocusChamps is

A family chore-and-reward app for parents and kids. Parents create an account, add kids, assign tasks, set rewards, and approve completion. Kids earn Focus Points (FP) for tasks and goals and spend them on rewards their parent has created.

Your account

• You must be 13 or older to create a parent account, and you must be legally able to enter into this agreement (or have a parent or guardian do so on your behalf if required by your country's laws).
• You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for any activity under your account.
• You're responsible for the accuracy of information you enter, including the kid profiles you create.
• One real person, one parent account. Don't impersonate anyone else.

What you agree not to do

• Use FocusChamps for anything illegal, harmful, or that violates someone else's rights.
• Try to break, attack, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the app or its infrastructure.
• Use FocusChamps to harass, threaten, or harm a child — including setting up tasks, rewards, or punishments that would violate child welfare laws in your jurisdiction.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercialize FocusChamps without our written permission.

Family content and ownership

You own the content you put into FocusChamps (tasks, rewards, goal descriptions, etc.). By using the app you give us a limited license to store and display that content within the app to you, your co-parents, and your kids — the minimum necessary to make the app work.

We don't claim any ownership of your kid's photo (we don't even ask for one), name, or any other personal information about your family.

The Focus Points are not money

Focus Points (FP) are an in-app, non-monetary tracking number we provide for fun and motivation. They have no cash value, can't be transferred between families, can't be redeemed for cash, and don't carry over if you delete your account.

Service availability

We try to keep FocusChamps running 24/7, but we don't guarantee zero downtime. We may update, change, or remove features at any time. If we make a change that materially reduces what you've already paid for (if applicable), we'll let you know in advance.

Termination

You can delete your account any time from inside the app. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or if keeping you on the platform exposes us or other users to legal risk.

If we terminate your account for cause, we'll let you know via the email on file (unless doing so would compromise an investigation).

Disclaimers

FocusChamps is provided "as is" without any warranty, express or implied. We don't warrant that the app is free of bugs, secure against every attack, or fit for any particular use case. You use the app at your own discretion.

We are not responsible for the parenting decisions you make using the app. The tasks, rewards, and consequences you define are yours.

Limit of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from FocusChamps is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or $50 if you haven't paid us anything).

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. If a change materially affects you, we'll update the "Last updated" date and notify you via the email on your account. Continued use after the change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [Your State / Country], without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally goes to the courts of [Your County / Region].
